Nokia N95

Nokia, the world’s largest maker of mobile phones, is about to introduce to the market its E-series enterprise handsets and the up-market N96 multimedia device, said a senior executive of Nokia.

"We will, in the third quarter, bring to the market the N96 we have launched, and a group of E-series multimedia computers that will be sure to have a strong stamp on where this market is going," said Anssi Vanjoki, senior executive vice president of Nokia Markets, to Reuters.

Nokia has declined to reveal the model

names, but the industry sources believe that it’s coming out next week with new E66 and E71 models. Both of them are expected to feature GPS, 128 MB of memory and a 3.2 megapixel camera.

In February, Nokia had unveiled the N96, which is seen as the successor to the N95, Nokia’s top profit-generator. The N96 will come with 16 GB of internal memory.

"The N96 that we have introduced... We believe the N96 will be a significant product to the group and define the tone where the market is going. Pre-orders for it are encouraging,” said Vanjoki.
