Samsung is reportedly getting ready to launch another Symbian S60 handset to add to its range of handsets which run on the OS. But according to the reports, the handset is not going to be just like any old handset, with the ‘same-ole same-ole’ features you’d find in most other phones the Korean giant has come up with, in the past.
The handset, that’s being called the i8510 (for now) is a slider (no big surprise there) that will be equipped with an 8 megapixel auto-focus..
camera with a xenon flash. If that doesn’t impress you, the camera will also be able to capture video at 120 fps. It also has a 2.8-inch QVGA display sporting 16 million colors, an optical mouse for navigation and TV-out capabilities, and should be available in two models – one with 16GB and another with 8GB of internal memory. It has dimensions of 106.5 x 53.9 x 16.9 mm and is shelled inside a metal casing.
There’s no official word on the handset from Samsung yet, so there’s no pricing or availability. Stay tuned.
